Privacy Notice
Last updated: 13 August 2026
1. Who we are
MyResetMode is operated by Elizabeth Wanyoike, trading as MyResetMode. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice, which means we decide how and why your data is used.
2. What we collect and why
- Account data (name, email address, login identifiers from Google sign-in) — to create and secure your account and let you sign in. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Reset and reflection data (emotion selected, calm level 1–5, your short notes and tags, session timestamps) — to provide the Service, keep your streaks, and show your trends and journal. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Subscription status (plan, status, renewal dates received from Paddle) — to unlock Premium features. Legal basis: contract performance and legal obligation.
- Technical and usage data (device and browser type, IP address, app events, error logs) — to keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix bugs. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in a secure, reliable product.
- Support messages you send us — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests and contract performance.
- Marketing communications, only if you opt in — Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.
Your reflections are treated as sensitive to you and are never sold or used for advertising. Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us.
3. Local storage on your device
If you use MyResetMode without an account, your sessions and preferences (theme, mute setting, in-progress reset) are stored only in your browser's local storage. When you later sign in, we offer to migrate that history into your account.
4. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, authentication, and error-monitoring providers that run the Service on our behalf.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of Premium, subscription management, payments, invoicing, and sales-tax compliance.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where needed.
- Authorities — where we are required to disclose by law, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
We keep account and reflection data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your reflection data within 30 days, except where we must keep records longer (for example transaction records for tax and accounting purposes). Technical logs are kept for a short period, typically up to 90 days.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest with our database provider, row-level access controls so that only you can read your own reflections, and least-privilege access for administrative operations. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep risk low.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Paddle may set cookies necessary to complete checkout. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though signing in may then not work.
10. Children
MyResetMode is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Contact
To exercise your rights or ask about this notice, contact Elizabeth Wanyoike, trading as MyResetMode, at support@myresetmode.com. For billing or order-related privacy questions, Paddle can be reached at paddle.net.
